About

What to know

A naturally occurring fructan polysaccharide found in chicory root, Jerusalem artichoke, garlic, and leeks; commercially extracted primarily from chicory root. Acts as a prebiotic fiber — selectively feeding beneficial Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus species in the colon, supporting gut microbiome diversity. At high doses (>10 g/day) it may cause bloating, gas, and diarrhea in sensitive individuals, particularly those with IBS.
